MEET THE COACHES
MARTY HUNTER
Marty has over 35 years of successful coaching experience, ranging from youth leagues to the professional level. In 2019, he retired after 17 years of coaching with the baseball program at George Fox University, 5 as an assistant and 12 as Head Coach. During his time there, the program won five conference championships and the 2004 NCAA Div. III National Championship. Marty earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s in Education from Linfield College (OR). While at Linfield, Marty played both football and baseball. Marty’s vast playing and coaching experience, coupled with a strong teaching background, enable him to connect with and advise athletes and teams in an easy to understand manner. He has been a featured speaker at many area clinics and continues to work camps.

RANDY RUTSCHMAN
Randy has worked with a variety of levels of athletes for over 40 years. He has coached on staffs that have earned three collegiate National Championships - two in football at Linfield College and one in baseball at George Fox University. Randy is also a current board member of the Corvallis Knights (WCL, summer collegiate league), and was a player-coach from 1984-2004. In his final year of coaching the Knights, they won the 2004 NBC World Series. Randy earned his bachelors and masters of Education from Linfield College. While at Linfield, he was a four year letterman in baseball before beginning his teaching and coaching career. Randy’s lifelong passion of the mental game and gift of coaching has enabled him to be instrumental in the careers of several players who have signed professional contracts. Including his son Adley, who was the #1 pick in the 2019 Major League Baseball draft and current star with the Baltimore Orioles. Randy continues to be a frequent presenter at clinics and is also involved in many camps across the country.
